Cup 280 available at Aldo Bakker's Friends Edition
This came a long way, but it feels very right. During my time at Design Academy Eindhoven Aldo has guided me very thoughtfully in a process, out of which the series Lumps Of Clay came to life in 2016. This cup was one of the first designs from this series. Aldo and I stayed in good contact and he persistently encouraged me to finish the piece. However, as life offers many distractions it took a bit of time to develop the right glazing. So now, for the first time, I’m presenting a glazed version that actually holds liquids. Also for the first time the shape is defined to consist of 280 lumps. There was no question when Aldo asked me to contribute this to his newly established Friends Editions. Thank you!
